Neither Pledge Nor Resolution

 O, that we could strengthen our bonding! The pandemic of corona virus is spreading globally with its Omicron variant. So staying safe is first and foremost condition for all.

In fact, like rest days, it, which is celebrated worldwide as New Years Day, also comes as usual. It's just a pretext emerging from the heart to enjoy the moment.

But extremely regret to learn that something unwanted appear in the garb of precaution and healthcare. Party politics shrouds the activities of the government functionaries.  Social distancing is being handled as social disruption.

Encompassing the mind to create an ambience to live with.
So there is nothing new and fresh in it. To emulate the positivity of the past avoiding the negativity is the one and only message to convey.

Just to be able to act as we wish, we expect, we desire.  Give love, get love and spread love.

Hangover Unlimited

 One might get inebriated with boozing as well as emotions. Several kinds of emotions floating in mind create a lump of hangover. Persistent clash among those ultimately create a state of vacuum. Too tough to deal with.

The factors might be external as well as internal. Coping up with such state usually appears to be most challenging.However, a moral boost up or support becomes inevitable at that crucial point to deal with. 

But sharing the situation mostly bring the repercussion to fore. Though, one is never perfect in life, lacks something. That  very desire encounters the sharing. How long the purging can be continued? Ultimately one has to resign, irrespective of being aware of any peril. 

Seven Keys Of Wedlock

1. Covalent bond must be maintained by each other.

2. Mutual trust is the key of a happy conjugal life. 

3. Affinity and logic are inversely proportional in a family.

4. Life is an amalgamation of fact and fancy.

5. Liberty to a certain limit for each other.

6. Conjugal life is a school for the partner, of a partner and by the partner. 

7. All is well that ends well.

Social Distancing And Its Implementation

 Social distancing considered as one of the major steps to avoid the fatal pandemic corona virus. Which has led the whole universe to uncertainty. It's significant to ponder how it's propelled to deal with the system as well. Hazardous outcomes pouring incessantly. 

Of course, the political system is obviously averse to the people of the nation. The regime is handling it inaptly rather shrewdly to hamper the social bonding. Just to make their ends meet, the politicos may go to any extent. The frivolous people are easily driven in the wave.

The ambience is created so deftly to convince(confuse would be perfect) the people that they easily fall prey to it. Such forces are strategic and calculating to create the rift among people. Persons, who were friends turn to foe the next moment.

In fact, such forces have been active to disrupt the age old saying  "unity in diversity" From community to caste basis  the whole society is being damaged. The whole nation witnessing the venom spitting day to day. 

Confidence Eroding

Making one's presence felt on the own is diminishing gradually but spontaneously in the political landscape. Switching allegiance among Congress, to Bharatiya Janta Party(BJP), Trinamul Congress (TMC), Aam Admi Party (AAP) continues as usual.
However, it's not so significant, but when the stalwarts of the concerned parties switch allegiance is highly astonishing. The names of Jitin Prasad, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jyotiraditya Scindia etc taken be taken for example.
Though, Scindia looks active. Whilst Captain Amarinder has floated his own Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) but his proximity to BJP certainly raises questions. It won't be surprising if PLC is merged with BJP in the near future.
On the other hand, many disgruntled leaders are in different parties. Like Sachin Pilot, G--23 in Congress. The dictatorial attitude of the party high commands widening the rift within.
Nut shell is that the walked out or ousted political leaders are evidently showing their incapability to stand on their own.

Humane Or Inhumane

 Terms like 'arrogance', 'sacrilege', 'lynching' etc are frequently used in these days. Acrimonious state almost prevails. Whether in politics or religion, everyone has forgot one thing-that is they are "HUMAN".fair

Have gone inhuman just to get their ends meet. Commoners and weaker sections are falling prey to such conflicts. Politics and religion have hovered the society, though in unfair manner. The phrase " Might Is Right" has to be ammended-"Might Is NOT Right".

The society is torn in two parts-following and opposing. Intolerance has become most effective. Dissents are being crushed ruthlessly. Those who are behind the wheels are deviating the public from the core issues by dividing the society in caste, community and religion. Just to hide it's failures. 

The mass has to contemplate about the existing juncture. How long the handfuls would suppress the mass? How long would be churned? It's high time to perceive the fact. The 'mights' must relinquish it's approach or get ready to face the consequence. 

दहला गयी 'टावर हाउस' के खोने की मनहूस खबर ने

 उनके सान्निध्य में काम करते हुए हमें तो यही महसूस हुआ कि हमेशा ऊर्जावान बने रहे. वाजपेयी जी के मातहत पूरे एक साल भी काम नहीं कर पाये जिसका हमें खेद रहेगा. वह इसलिए कि हमें दिल्ली जाना पड़ गया. वहां से पंजाब चले गये.

हालांकि दैनक हिन्दुस्तान, अमर उजाला, दैनिक जागरण जैसे बड़े बैनरों में भी हमने काम किया, लेकिन राष्ट्रीय नवीन मेल जैसी बात कहाँ. जिस तरह बड़े-बड़े मीडिया घराने नाम के साथ 'परिवार' शब्द जोड़ते हैं डालटनगंज में तो सचमुच एक परिवार ही था.

सच पूछें तो यह कहने किंचित झिझक नहीं है कि राष्ट्रीय नवीन मेल के साथ काम करने की संतुष्टि अन्यत्र कहीं नहीं मिली.

पंजाब में हमारे कुछ सहकर्मी डालटनगंज के रहने वाले थे. लिहाजा ख़तों का सिलसिला जारी रहा. फ़िर वह काला दिन भी आया और सम्माननीय वेद प्रकाश भैया की चिरनिद्रा में लीन की ख़बर देकर बरबस मायूस कर गया.

जब डालटनगंज में मिले फिर दो 'धुरंधर'

समय बीतता रहा. इस बीच 1995 का वह उल्लेखनीय साल आया जब पटना से नवभारतटाइम्स का प्रकाशन बंद हो गया. क्यों और कैसे हुआ, यह चर्चा का विषय नहीं है. इस दौरान हम पर भी पत्रकारिता का रंग चढ़ने लगा था.

स्थानीय पत्र-पत्रिकाओं के अलावा रांची से प्रकाशित दैनिक देशप्राण के लिए भी बतौर संवाददाता काम करने लगे थे. नवभारतटाइम्स के बंद होने पर उससे जुड़े पत्रकार इधर-उधर चले गये.

अगस्त 95 में एक दिन हमारे पास ब्रजेश भाई का फोन आया. उन्होंने पटना आकर मय-सामान मिलने के लिए कहा. पटना पहुंचने पर उन्होंने हमें रात की गाड़ी से डालटनगंज जाने के लिए कहा.

हमारी तो जैसे लॉटरी ही खुल गयी. वहां हमें विनोद बंधु जी मिले. वह और ब्रजेश भाई नवभारतटाइम्स से आये थे. डालटनगंज से एक क्षेत्रीय अख़बार राष्ट्रीय नवीन मेल प्रकाशित होता था.

अख़बार की संपादकीय टीम ने इसे जल्द ही पाठकों की ज़रूरत बना दी.

कुछ पाठकों ने यह टिप्पणी दी-' वैसे तो आज हमने कई अख़बार पढ़े मगर राष्ट्रीय नवीन मेल न पढ़ने पर लगा जैसे आज हमसे कुछ छूट गया है.' यह बात किसी अख़बारनवीस के लिए क्या मायने रखता है, यह तो वही बता सकता है.

डालटनगंज में काम करते हुए हम अपनी धुन में मस्त हो गये. जैसे एक ख़ुमार-सा छा गया था. एक दिन जब तैयार होकर प्रेस गया तो समाचार संपादक के पास कुर्सी पर दुबली-पतली काया वाले एक सज्जन बैठे दिखे. पास जाकर देखा- 'अरे, ये तो अपने वाजपेयी जी हैं.' बंधु जी ने हम दोनों का परिचय कराया. उन्हें नमस्कार कर हम कुछ देर वहीं खड़े होकर कुछ देर बातें की.

फिर क्या कहने! अपनी टीम की तो कोई सानी नहीं रही. बंधु जी और वाजपेयी जी की  लेखनी और कुशल नेतृत्व में राष्ट्रीय नवीन मेल ने जैसे 'तूफान मेल' का रूप इख़्तियार कर लिया.

जब तत्कालीन सीएम लालू प्रसाद का रास्ता रोका वेद जी ने

 

बात 1993-94 की है. उन दिनों पटना में टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया के संपादक उत्तम सेनगुप्ता हुआ करते थे. एक दिन प्रेस के सामने संपादक की गाड़ी पर किसी ने गोली चला दी. इस पर वहां अफरातफरी के अलावा काफ़ी बावेला मचा.

उस समय लालू प्रसाद मुख्यमंत्री थे. पिछड़ों और सवर्णों में काफी ठनी हुई थी. घटना के बाद मुख्यमंत्री लाव-लश्कर सहित टाइम्स दफ़्तर की ओर आये. उस वक्त वाजपेयी जी दफ़्तर में मौजूद थे. वह तेजी से लालू प्रसाद के सामने पहुंचे और उनका रास्ता रोक लिया. वह मुख्यमंत्री को दफ़्तर के अंदर जाने देने के सख़्त ख़िलाफ़ थे.
लालू ने मुस्कुराते हुए उनसे अंदर जाने देने का आग्रह किया. आख़िरकार वाजपेयी जी के सहकर्मियों और प्रेस स्टाफ ने मिलकर उन्हें वहां से हटाया. सच और न्याय के रास्ते से उन्हें कोई डिगा नहीं सकता था. तो ऐसे थे वेद प्रकाश वाजपेयी. मलाल इस बात का है कि ऐसे कम लोग ही दीर्घजीवी होते हैं.
उनमें से ही एक किस्सा ब्रजेश भाई ने सुनाया था. बता दें कि पत्रकारिता का क-ख-ग हमने ब्रजेश वर्मा के दोपहिये पर पीछे बैठकर ही सीखा था. उन दिनों संपादकीय और फीचर के सभी पृष्ठ ब्रजेश भाई के जिम्मे थे.
हां, तो वाकया कुछ यूं था. एक दिन ब्रजेश भाई कुछ परेशान-से थे. उन्हें एक पन्ने की लीड आर्टिकल नहीं मिल रही थी. तभी शाम को उन्हें वाजपेयी जी दफ़्तर में दिखे. उन दिनों वह भागलपुर में रह रहे थे. ब्रजेश भाई ने उन्हें अपनी समस्या बतायी. वह टेबल से कुछ काग़ज़ उठाकर पास के बीयर बार में चले गये.
फ़िर तकरीबन आधे घंटे बाद उन्होंने- यह लीजिये शानदार लीड-कह लेख थमा दिया. पेज की नंबरिंग मिलाने पर कुछ पन्ने गुम थे. उन्होंने गुम पन्नों के पिछले पन्नों की आख़िरी लाइन पूछी और वहीं बैठकर आर्टिकल पूरी कर दी. शायद उनका मस्तिष्क ही एक कंप्यूटर था जिसमें बीसियों फ़ाइलें 'सेव' थीं.

हिन्दी पत्रकारिता के 'टावर हाउस' वेद प्रकाश वाजपेयी

 "अगर किसी को खुश करना है तो उसकी मुलाज़िमत करो,पत्रकारिता पर तो तोहमत न लगाओ."

दुबली-पतली काया और चेहरे पर लंबी दाढ़ी. उनके बारे में किसी को पहला आभास यही मिल सकता था. उस चेहरे में दो गहरी- गंभीर आंखें.उनकी  नज़र सामने वाले किसी के भी दिल में गहराई तक उतर जाती. यह बात दिगर है कि उन आंखों की एक्स-रे मानिंद किरणें अगले पर क्या प्रभाव डालती हैं. वह शख़्स थे हिन्दी पत्रकारिता के एक स्तम्भ वेद प्रकाश वाजपेयी.
बात बीसवीं सदी के नौवें (9वें) दशक की है. जब हम पहली बार उनसे मिले थे. तब वाजपेयी जी पटना से प्रकाशित हिन्दी दैनिक नवभारत टाइम्स से जुड़े थे. उनको प्रेस की तरफ से भागलपुर भेजा गया था.
उस समय तक हम भी पत्रकारिता के पेशे की तरफ आकर्षित होने लगे थे. हिन्दी-अंग्रेज़ी पत्रकारों के बीच बैठने लगे थे. उनके आने के बाद तो अपने भी डेढ़-दो घंटे उनके सानिध्य में बीतने लगे. हमें तो स्नेह की अनुभूति हुई जब उन्होंने पहली बार हमारी तरफ देखा.
शहर में आते ही वाजपेयी जी ने एक बार फिर भागलपुर दंगों से संबंधित नयी ख़बर निकाली. इससे राज्य सरकार की खासी किरकिरी हुई थी. तब उनके रुख और नज़र का दूसरा पहलू सामने आया जब सामने वाला थर्रा गया. आलम यह था कि उनके मुरीदों में वे भी शामिल थे जिनके ख़िलाफ उन्होंने लिखा.
ऐसा मानते हैं कि हर विलक्षण प्रतिभा के साथ-साथ कोई न कोई 'सनक' चलती है. वाजपेयी जी को भी 'पीने' का बेहद शौक था. यह कहना कि उनका सिद्धांत "कम खाना-अधिक पीना" था तो शायद ग़लत न होगा. खाना तो उनका शायद बस दो से तीन कौर ही था.
उनके बारे में कोई भी जो चाहे अपनी राय कायम कर सकता है. हमने भी की. शायद वह अपनी स्थिति से किसी को भी मुश्किल में डालना पसंद नहीं करते थे. शायद यही सोचकर वेद जी ताउम्र कुंवारे ही रहे. हालांकि उनके अलावा कोई इस बात का दावा नहीं कर सकता.
हिन्दी पत्रकारिता के मशाल वाजपेयी जी की निर्भीकता और सच के साथ डटे रहने के कितने ही किस्से बिखरे पड़े हैं.

Milkha Singh:We Are Often Late

 Passing away of the Flying Sikh #MilkhaSingh was a severe shock for us. An invaluable polestar. He has raised the nation to height with his athletic prowess. His demise has left the whole nation to shock.

The regrettable fact is that we woke up after his heavenly abode and discovered his talent. Before that we we were almost in deep slumber. 

Some eminent personalities raised their voice to confer Milkha Singh the Bharat Ratna award (posthomously). Suddenly our conscience arose. Isn't it a matter of concern?

It seems to be usual course that we don't even bother what we have. Always stick to the past to feel ourselves proud. 

O that such concern had been raised in the lifetime of immortal Milkha Singh! 

Covid19: Destiny But Created

 For the last one and half year, India is facing a hazardous situation amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. Large number of human lives lost and at stake due to the indifferent attitude of Centre and State governments.

In addition, the fierce blame game between Centre and States added fuel to make the situation more and more grim. In between, assembly elections in five states were taken so vigorously, as if there was nothing to worry.

Despite knowing the fact that the nation is passing through a crucial phase, the government exported medicines in bulk. Putting the millions of lives in danger. Then from the first quarter of the current year, vaccination drive started. 

The poor production of the vaccines created the word efficacy. Administering first shot, people wandering for the second. Shortage of vaccines erupted. Consequently, the sky falls on the public. 

Duration between the two jabs increased to 12 weeks from 4 weeks. Meanwhile, the foreign vaccines started arriving. 

Then authority clashes began between Centre and States to administer vaccine. Again, a question appeared that people of a certain age group would be administered free vaccine, others not. It was decided later that 18+ age group would also be administers free vaccine. 

Still the future course is in the air.
