Priority: The Missing Factor

Whatever Modi government did in five years term is almost negligible. However, the govt took up various projects but neither could be completed, not even near completion. The initiatives of the govt like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachchha Bharat Abhiyaan, Startup (to curb unemployment),Curb Farmers' crisis didn't meet even the satisfactory level.
On the one hand Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is going on, on the other the girls are tortured, raped and killed across the country. The Shelter Home cases of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are the burning examples. Besides, a news of  mass exploitation of girls and women flashed from South India. The girls must be saved, at the same time she must be protected too.
Coming to the next, Swachchha Bharat Abhiyan was launched with full fervor to abolish outdoor defacation in rural and urban areas. The government's term is approaching its completion but the ads for the same are yet being transmitted in the radios and televisions.
Whereas farmers' distress is concerned, most of them are leading miserable life. Their labour almost goes in vain and remain debt-ridden till  the last breath. Sometime the central government announced 2000 rupees quarterly (Rs.6000yearly) to the marginal farmers. Its nothing more than an insult.
Taking several projects in hand, if the government had prioritized one or two, then the satisfactory end would have met. Its quite natural many projects can be completed in five years term. Its just beyond the capacity of a government.
Some projects might be completed in stipulated time and till then might be other government.
If the government had taken either education or farm sector, unemployment as priority, then one of those might be completed or near completion. Like this, the government could have asked for the mandate boldly instead of making excuses and terrorizing the voters.

Democracy or Jibecracy?

Certainly a sordid tale. In this Lok Sabha Election season, the jibes and slurs are in full swing. Despite warnings issued by the Election Commission, the leaders are not abstaining from it. They are smartly finding the other way out. Besides warning, EC even issued periodic ban but the politicos are just turning their deaf ears. They don't even spare the cast, creed and culture to show the other down. Even the nation, in which we all live, is dragged though implicitly. Sometimes, feel that we are not living in democracy but jibecracy. There is really the competition among the political leaders how low they can go

Initiative After Initiative

Congress, the grand old party now plans to organize a massive rally in Delhi pertaining to country's economy and traders.Several initiatives taken by the Congress president Rahul Gandhi, though on the right track, ultimately misfired. A fresh instance is announcement of candidate from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat despite creating a hype that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra might file her nomination to contest from the said seat. Besides, swinging in indecision, Rahul has done something which he shouldn't.

If it was the conception that Prime Minister Narendra Modi  should win the election unopposed, then it can't be called fair. After all, it is a contest.Defeat of former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee from Gwalior and veteran leader Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna from Allahabad in 1984.A simple question arises that what was the concept behind it. Instead of taking initiatives one after the other, if Congress president centralizes his focus with determination on a few, might work. Instead of allying with the other political parties, Congress seems all alone in the fray.

BJP In Dilemma

What else can be said when a political party withdraws its candidate just to appease the ally.It shows that the party is quite unable to take a firm stand on this issue. Somehow it is not convinced and shrouded with a kind of dilemma rather fear that it will face flak if it remains firm on its decision. A cadre-based (as it claims to be)  Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), not only in a single state but in other states too, has compromised on its position. In such situations, in-fights are in full swing in the party which ultimately ends in exodus or discrimination. Finally, who will succeed in holding the key of power after the election result. Calculations and equations are being drawn just to grab the power by hook or by crook.
